If a game somehow doesn't work, you can nag to GoG and GoG will nag to the developer. Everything you see in the GoG storefront, is quality. There isn't a tidal wave of 20+ crappy games coming out on GoG every day. It was also handing out refunds without you needing to give a reason, long before Steam was finally forced to.ģ) GoG's storefront is carefully curated. They snub GoG.Ģ) GoG is far more lenient when it comes to refunds. This is the reason why you won't see EA, Ubisoft or the other Triple A developers on GoG. This does mean that GoG versions of games are easier to pirate, but developers and publishers who bring their games to GoG, trust their customers.

Like I said in point 1 you don't have to start up GoG Galaxy / Steam or any other type of software to have direct access to your games. You can then play your games directly, without have to boot up a launcher, like steam forces you to.ġa) GoG games are completely DRM free. I use GoG whenever I can.ġ) While it does steer you in that direction, you can completely ignore GoG galaxy and simply choose to download the files themselves. That's where the similarities stop however and GoG has many advantages over Steam. Just like you have Steam on your computer as a program to up and access you Steam Library, Gog has a program called GoG Galaxy.
